Jay has been recognized as one of the premier instructors, trainers and educators in the fitness industry. He has taught sold-out classes and seminars in over 30 countries across the globe and is known for his results-oriented, simplified training approach. Jay was chosen as one of the Top 5 instructors in the world by Shape magazine, and Men’s Health listed him as having one of the Top 10 workouts of all time. He has been chosen as the International Fitness Instructor of the Year by IDEA and Can Fit Pro, the two largest associations of fitness professionals in the world. In 2012, Jay was chosen as the Australian Network Fitness Professional of the Year, and is the first non-Australian fitness professional to receive this award in Network's 25-year history. In 2019, Jay was selected to receive the prestigious IDEA Jack LaLanne Award that was created to recognize individuals who have made a significant and lasting contribution in the areas of health and fitness. Jay is the only fitness professional to ever be recognized with all four of these fitness industry awards. In 2020, Men’s Health selected Jay as one of the most influential men in the health and fitness industry.

Jay is the author of the critically acclaimed book, “Full-Body Flexibility,” which is in its 2nd edition printing. He has appeared in over 30 award-winning fitness videos and developed some of the most successful health club programs and products in history.

He has been the fitness expert in hundreds of magazines, newspapers and on television, and has consulted for some of the biggest exercise, sport and fitness companies in the world, including Gatorade, Nautilus, Schwinn, Equinox, BOSU, 24 Hour Fitness and Stairmaster. He was a fitness expert for MSNBC.com and the Los Angeles Times, and his articles have been read by millions of people each year. He was the Spokesperson for the IDEA Health and Fitness Association, and the Music Advisor for Power Music, the #1 fitness music company in the world. Jay was a Nike contract athlete and Nike consultant for over 20 years. He worked closely with Nike on the launch of Nike+ Run Club app, which has become the largest digital running community in the world with over 30 million members, and was named one of the best tech gadgets and services in 2006 by Time Magazine. He was also the original creator and program developer of the Nike Training Club app, which boasts over 25 million digital users. He was also a key expert and consultant for many of Nike’s Digital Sport initiatives launched in 2012, including the Nike+ FuelBand and Nike+ Kinect Training.

Jay has also been a frequent innovation, motivation and consumer behavior expert, and has consulted with many Fortune 500 companies, including Starbucks, Charles Schwab and Quaker.
